Rust Horizon

Cradled birch panel

Acrylic paint, hand-pulled monotypes, collage elements, wax pastel and graphite

This multi-layered piece is a striking mix of monotypes, book papers, wax pastel, acrylic paint and graphite, giving it a structured grid-like feel that guides the viewer’s eye throughout the design. The limited palette allows the warm rust colours to stand out in sharp contrast against the variety of nuanced greys. As with all of the 12″x12″ small works, this piece makes a bold statement as a solo act or pairs beautifully with other artworks. “Rust Horizon” appears in 2021 issues of GQ.
